Happy Birthday Regan
What can I say….my baby brother is officially 29 years old today, 12/10/08. Let’s not discuss how old that makes me…but I digress because today is all about him. To be honest I am going to get a tad mushy here…so bear with me…I think my brother has turned out to be an incredible man, he is a devoted husband who loves Maren, and is truly in love with their baby girl, Sophia. I am jealous at how smart and witty he is…these are qualities that I aspire to but so far has eluded me. He seems to have a good re pore with his students and peers…and trust me I don’t get how anyone could voluntarily enjoy college mathematics
. Welcome to being on the cusp of pfficialy middle aged….it sucks as much as you think it’s going to
ha ha ha
So Regan….Happy Birthday and I can’t wait to see ya’ll in two weeks for Christmas.
ps Rita & Rob….it won’t be the same without ya’ll and I’ll make sure that Regan doesn’t talk too much smack during Spades, Rook, & 42. Whoops I just realized… I don’t have any good recent pics of you. Oh well I’ll be sure to get some good ones this year

Happy Birthday Uncle Rob
Wahoo…lordy lordy look who’s 40?!?!?! Why that would be Uncle Rob.
Seriously we hope that you all have a great time at the Wilderness Conservation Camp and just have a little R-n-R. You know when you get to be your age…your body won’t be able to take the late night partying and you will require more sleep. ha ha ha
This is from the boys:
Happy birthday to you
Happy birthday to you
Happy birthday Uncle Robbie
Happy birthday to you….and many more………….
Have a great weekend. Miss you and love you.
Here Aunt Rita and Uncle Rob teaching our boys their favorite sign….Peace Out

Now here’s the boys shout out just to Uncle Rob….if we are not careful we might just have some more left wing liberals in the family

Happy 4th Birthday A!!!!
Happy Birthday A….Daddy and I didn’t realize how boring our life was until you came in it. You are always good for a mischievous little smile and loud laugh that makes us wonder “what has he been up to that we need to know about?”…plus you are like me in that you love to snuggle under the covers on the couch with a good book and you freely give kisses and hugs. You are our family’s prayer policeman….you remind us before each meal (no matter where we are) that we need to say a blessing. You are Mr Independent…not a day goes by where we don’t hear the phrase “No, let me do it” and usually you can do it
. You may be tiny but you rule this house (and unfortunately you know it
). Happy Birthday little guy and I am so glad that God blessed us by letting you become a part of our life.
Here some of my favorite pics of you the past 90 days
Just not enough time….and we are moving!
Sorry I have been quiet for so long…there just doesn’t seem to be enough time to do all things I want to do much less do the things I need to do
So Michael and I like to make it difficult on ourselves….yes we are moving in December of all times
if you want the new address and I did not already send it to you….just shoot me an email or leave a comment and I’ll get it to you as quickly as possible.
Gotta go….til next time….
Playing catch up….
Before I play catch up on all the activities that we had at the end of October re: Halloween…I just want to go on record as saying….I am very tired of everyone being ill. Michael & I were discussing this the other day. We have had the boys for a little over 60days and we are on our 8th round of antibiotics, 1 cast & orthopedic surgeon, 1 inhaler, 1 breathing machine, and 2 er visits. It’s crazy!!!! And I feel bad for venting because it’s not their fault that they have no immune system and every little snotty nose at daycare turns into pneumonia for them but seriously….we are ready for a break. Okay now I am done
So the boys got to experience their first Halloween withus and this included Trunk-n-Treat at our church the Sunday before, a Halloween party at their school (where they got to wear their costumes), and then of course the wonderful and fun night of Halloween…which happened to fall on a Friday so they even got to stay up past their bed time…yippee! S was a Red Power Ranger/Jungle Fury (not to be mistaken with other types of Power Rangers…he is quick to correct you) and A was Spiderman…..and Buzz Lightyear because he had a slight accident at daycare on Halloween so we had to make a quick trip to Target on our way home and luckily they had a costume in his size. And trust me when I say we were lucky because the costume aisles were trashed and very picked over. So here are some of my favorite pics…
From Trunk – n- Treat
Now for Halloween night
And this is their loot for the night….what I want to know is how are they going to eat all of this?
Poppa and the Boys
Well we took Poppa to the airport to go back home tonight and all the boys could talk about in the van on the way home was when they get to go visit Poppa at Christmas. (big sigh) It’s going to be a long two months….he he he
Seriously, we had a great time and were very glad that Poppa got to come meet the boys. I wish I could say that they were on their best behavior but they did okay…just a couple of time outs and “come to Jesus” talks. Right now the boys have become very comfortable in our home, which is good and bad, because now they are not quite so eager to please us and seek our approval for good behavior. Now we are getting the real 3 & 5 yr old tantrums, back talk, and stubborness
…I have to say it’s exhausting but it will be worth it.
So here are a couple of pics from today…
Can you tell which one decided to be an ”oscar the grouch” at the airport?
TIl next time…..
Happy Birthday Poppa
So hopefully I will have some pics by tomorrow but needless to say the boys and Poppa had a very fun evening. For my Dad’s (Poppa) birthday, she surprised him and bought an airline ticket to fly out here from Houston to finally meet his new grandsons. Needless to say S & A were so excited after church tonight when I told them about the surprise….they were wired to say the least and definitely showing off for Poppa. I think everyone finally went down around 11:00pm…whew what a night. Mom (Grand) it was a great idea and I am looking forward to watching them play and have fun tomorrow.
Til next time…
Yippee….we have Jack O Lanterns
Wahoo! We had an awesome morning today. We carved our pumpkins to make jack o lanterns and the boys LOVED it….as A said when we put them down for a nap this afternoon ”Momma, I was a big help today” . They had so been looking forward to this day because we bought the pumpkins two weeks ago when we went to Uncle Shuck’s pumpkin patch & corn maze…this was a true test of their patience. Each boy had a small (kid size) pumpkin and Michael & I shared a large a pumpkin. We did the boys first then they help me with our pumpkin.
I had so much fun this morning…it was just one of those good warm and fuzzy days. Following are some fun family pics….we just love these boys…aren’t they cute?
Come on Mom, I know I am cute but stop taking pictures
Til next time….
Happy Birthday Daddy!
Happy 36th birthday honey. I love you and wow….what a new adverture we have started! You are a great Dad and I look forward to watching your relationship with the boys grow in the future.
And here are just a few random pics of Daddy and his boys
Okay so this is a glimpse into our boys’ typical expressions
he he he
Grrrrhhhh I am a scary monster and no I don’t want to sit still and take another picture I was having too much running thru the vegetable garden that was cut into a maze.
