Happy 4th Birthday A!!!!

Happy Birthday A….Daddy and I didn’t realize how boring our life was until you came in it.  You are always good for a mischievous little smile and loud laugh that makes us wonder “what has he been up to that we need to know about?”…plus you are like me in that you love to snuggle under the covers on the couch with a good book and you freely give kisses and hugs. You are our family’s prayer policeman….you remind us before each meal (no matter where we are) that we need to say a blessing.  You are Mr Independent…not a day goes by where we don’t hear the phrase “No, let me do it” and usually you can do it :) .  You may be tiny but you rule this house (and unfortunately you know it :) ).  Happy Birthday little guy and I am so glad that God blessed us by letting you become a part of our life.

Here some of my favorite pics of you the past 90 days

Playing catch up….

Before I play catch up on all the activities that we had at the end of October re: Halloween…I just want to go on record as saying….I am very tired of everyone being ill.  Michael & I were discussing this the other day.  We have had the boys for a little over 60days and we are on our 8th round of antibiotics, 1 cast & orthopedic surgeon, 1 inhaler, 1 breathing machine, and 2 er visits.  It’s crazy!!!!  And I feel bad for venting because it’s not their fault that they have no immune system and every little snotty nose at daycare turns into pneumonia for them but seriously….we are ready for a break.  Okay now I am done :)

So the boys got to experience their first Halloween withus and this included Trunk-n-Treat at our church the Sunday before, a Halloween party at their school (where they got to wear their costumes), and then of course the wonderful and fun night of Halloween…which happened to fall on a Friday so they even got to stay up past their bed time…yippee!  S was a Red Power Ranger/Jungle Fury (not to be mistaken with other types of Power Rangers…he is quick to correct you) and A was Spiderman…..and Buzz Lightyear because he had a slight accident at daycare on Halloween so we had to make a quick trip to Target on our way home and luckily they had a costume in his size.  And trust me when I say we were lucky because the costume aisles were trashed and very picked over.  So here are some of my favorite pics…

Hello world!

As WordPress said…Hello world!  I am starting a blog to try and document what is happening my uninteresting life.  I probably will not have any “grand” stories of travel but you know what…I am okay with that.  Michael and I have a good life and we are getting ready to make a decision that could make it a great life.  Should we become foster parents?  As you can tell from my inference….I so want this to happen but Michael (right fully so) has some questions.  We have officially started our foster parent training with Georgia Agape due to be completed the weekend of March 1st.  OMG…..WOW….I can’t hardly stand it and I am so trying not to “bug” Michael about this because I know he has to be on board 100% for this to work.

For those that do not know us; we have been married for over 13 years and we have never been blessed with a child.  No pregnancies, no miscarriages, and no medical reason that we do not conceive naturally….that is probably the most frustrating part of our inferility…no answers to our questions!  For those that have struggled with infertiliy, you understand the pain and frustration that I have felt over the years.  I had a checklist of goals and accomplishments that I wanted for my life when I was young:

1. graduate college

2.  fall in love

3.  get married

4.  live in the city

5.  buy a house with 2 bathrooms within 3 -5 years

6.  start a family within 1 year of moving in our new home (I even have 6 names already picked; 3 boys and 3 girls)

Needless to say this list didn’t happen the way I planned nor have all of these items been officially checked off even though it is 15 years later :) .  Now that I am older and wiser I notice when I review this list is that it didn’t leave room for God plan for me….hhhmmm that maybe the problem.  What do you think?  So that is what I am ready to do; start learning to let go of my control; refocus on my spiritual life and Christianity, and let God’s plan for us take shape.  Hopefully his plan  includes children; whether they are biological or not does not matter to me but I suspect it matters to Michael.  He has never come right out and said it but sometimes we are our loudest when we do not say anything.

Well that is all of my ramblings for today and hopefully I will get better at this.  So til next time….
